When Words Get in the Way – A Meditation on the Value and Limits of Language | Archdiocese of Washington

A very interesting and helpful reflection. I am not a monist, and I don’t think Christianity is compatible with monism. So I think it is good to be cautious as we begin to speak of the unity of all things.

Ludwig Wittgenstein, my favorite philosopher, wrote about the supreme importance of what we cannot speak about. And it is certainly a theme among great teachers of Christian prayer. At any rate, check it out:
