What’s happening at Holy Cross….

Our Second Thursday Film Nights will explore films that ask the questions that the Gospel purports to answer. Some of the films are from an explicitly Christian perspective, but the lion’s share are simply from talented and honest film makers who have demonstrated a shrewd awareness of what’s important in the world. The second Thursday of each month, at 7:00 pm. Food and drink provided. No charge. Read more and become a fan at our Facebook page

-Our Next Film: October 13 at 7:00 pm —  “Au Hasard Balthazar” (“The Donkey, Balthazar”) – Produced in 1966, written and directed by one of the most critically acclaimed filmmakers of all time, Robert Bresson, “Balthazar” is a seemingly simple tale about a donkey (the title character), and a farm girl named Marie. But beneath the surface of the story lies a profound exploration of the meaning of suffering, abasement, transcendence, and purity.
